while people like me, who is willing to work, cannot even get medical? i am 45! why do the illegals get all the benefits of sociey with welfare and housing, while people like me are facing homelessnes? and i have put in 50 job applications!? with no criminal record? isn’t it t ime for overhaul in our social security rules for eligibilty? like drug testing to keep benefits?

You have to put in so much time to qualify for any SS disability.

Drug testing for social security? That is innovative and sounds reasonable to me. Have you written to your senators or representative about it yet?
I’m so sorry you are having trouble with finding work. There are some states where work is not as difficult to find. Have you considered moving? You might need a relative to help you relocate.
Have you put your resume on “monster.com” or a site like that?
