Sorry, but not many people here like answering homework help questions. There is another category specifically for homework help where you’re likely to get more answers, but the best answers would come from your text book, in-class notes, or your teacher… those will give you the answer that your teacher is looking for as opposed to anyone else’s opinion.

That being said, all of the options for #1 are or could be true. #2 is drug abuse and misuse. #3 is kind of vague… the last one is one that can be false, but isn’t always. With #4, all of those can affect and distort the mood, thoughts, and senses, but I’m sure he’s looking for just 1 of them. #5 is another confusing one… all of those can be narcotics so there are a few correct answers.
I’d check your text book or ask the teacher to find the answer that they are looking for. Good luck with your class and I hope I helped!

[edit]: Actually, a drug CAN change the way your body functions in many ways. I’ve heard of far too many cases where someone has developed a degenerative disease or other major problem by taking a drug (usually taking it too long or taking too much, but it sometimes happens in a short time, too). Also, as I mentioned for #5, Inhalants, Marijuana, and Narcotics (which MJ and many others are narcotics). http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/narcotics says “any of a class of substances that blunt the senses, as opium, morphine, belladonna, and alcohol, that in large quantities produce euphoria, stupor, or coma, that when used constantly can cause habituation or addiction, and that are used in medicine to relieve pain, cause sedation, and induce sleep.”
I would really check with the teacher or your textbook to find the answer they want you to give, even if some of them are too vague.

I’ll call your answers a, b, c, and d in order
1. a – drugs affect the body but do not necessarily change its structure or the way it functions
2. a drug misuse
3. d
4. b
5. d

EDIT: I stand by my answers – not every drug changes the structure or function of the body – most use the current function of the body to exert their biological effect. Hence the definition “A drug is a substance that changes the structure or function of the body or mind” is false

Inhalants and marijuana can dull the senses. Marijuana is not a type of drug it is a particular drug and inhalants defines a method of delivery rather then a type of drug and not all are pain relievers or dull the senses – eg most bronchodilators are inhaled. Hence d. Narcotics is the correct answer
